Electromagnetic Brakes ensure event of a sudden power failure, that the position, for example, of the Z-Axis, is held, in order to prevent damage to the tools and workpieces. The Holding Torque is generated by the use of a compression spring. Our Brakes are electromagnetically released, and they must be supplied with a Voltage of 24V DC. They are mounted on the back Shaft of the Step Motor (B-Shaft). The Brake holds the Step Motor during the power failure at his position.
